Disable Office Click-To-Run Service in Windows 10
There are several ways that you can disable this Click-To-Run service, but the easiest is to find the ‘registry cleaner’ tool. This tool can delete any of the items included within the Click-To-Run database that the operating system needs to use.
It is a common problem with most Microsoft products. This is why it is crucial to be able to use the correct tool to fix these errors.
The first step to removing this program from your PC is first determining whether you need this program to work or not. If you don’t, then you will need to uninstall it.
You can do this by either using the Windows Control Panel.
Method 1: Disable the click-to-run process in Windows 10.
First of all, open the start menu and then search for a control panel.
Now go to Administrative Tools and then navigate to services.
You can also access Microsoft services using services.msc command. Just open the start menu and search for “services.msc” and press enter.
In services, find the Microsoft office cliktoRun process and double click on it to open it.
Now go to properties and find startup type option. Select disable and then save changes.
Reboot your PC to make changes.
Now you can check in the task manager and verify that this office click-to-run service is disabled or not. You can enable it by simply making a small change to the startup type option.
Select Enabled or automatic instead of disabled and save changes. Reboot again and you are good to go.
The service is now started again.
Method 2: Remove office click-to-run service from System
If you don’t want to use this Microsoft service then you can remove it completely from Windows 10. Here are the steps:
